Hello,
I have recieve of my Yoki a bottle of Highland Ale.
Name of the beer: Gordon Finest Scotch Highland Ale
Alcohol: 8% Vol. ( very high for a beer)
Colour : dark rubis
Fermentation : top
Type : Scotch Ale
Description:
The bitterness brought by its aromatic hops combines with its sweet flavour of distinctive roast malt, a mixture bringing an irresistible warmth with so many elements shimmering on the palate. It leaves a full-bodied, sweet finish.
Producer: John Martin sa/nv
B-1332 Genval, Belgium
Founder: The famous British master brewer John Martin in Belgium in 1909
Here are the pictures of the (empty) bottle.
Of one label are perhaps Scottish Deerhounds (?).
Cheers
Joerg, Lucy and Yoki

Hello,
A very delicious sweetness is single Highland malt whisky fugde.
This Edradour malt whisky fudge has been prepared by hand, to a recipe by Gardiners of
Scotland.
Edradour (established 1825) is Scotland's smallest distillery.
It is a goody for Joerg from Yoki and Lucy.
Best regards

Hello,
The Machir Bay is a gorgeous sherry-finished malt from Islay's newest distillery, Kilchoman.
This was released in 2012 and is made up of 60% 3 year old, 35% 4 year old and 5% 5 year old whisky. All were aged in first fill bourbon barrels, before vatting and finishing in an Oloroso sherry butt for two months.
Nose: Smoked and malty nose with notes of cured ham, oysters with lemon and red wine vinegar, a touch of TCP and citrus zest.
Palate: Oaky and bittersweet with black pepper, toffee apples, dark chocolate, aniseed and warm, spicy peat. Very complex, with a development of star anise.
Finish: Very long and salty with sticking plasters and blackcurrant.
I give him 7 of 10 points.
All the best
Joerg and Yoki + Lucy

Hi Joerg, Glad you enjoyed your tipple. Despite being a Scot, I am not a whisky drinker but have sent your tasting notes to my brothers. However, I can recommend Scottish Gin! Hendricks and Caorunn both made in Scotland. Perhaps Sylke likes gin? Happy tasting!

Joerg you should check out Heather Ale. It's one of my favourite Beers. Made from an old Scots/Gaelic recipe from the 16th century.
Heather ale's been made in Scotland for thousands of years.
