We are both excited about our trip and it was in the late Eighties when I went to the UK. Never got to Scotland due to time and money...LOOK OUT SCOTLAND, HERE WE COME

Other than that I adore the north west coast for scenery and wilderness, particularly the sea lochs on the mainland but opposite the Isle of Skye. Majestic mountains, wild empty moorlands, and fjord-like sea lochs, its gorgeous! And dont forget to visit some distilleries......hic!

Unfortunately we won't be there for Crufts but we will be at the Breed Show and also for the WELKS show. Haven't been to Wales either so this trip is going to be very exciting and interesting for me. Most of our time though, I think, will be spent in Scotland.

I have found a interesting article in the internet about the project from Paul Lister in the Highlands.
Citation: ...."Lister's single-minded vision is to turn the clock back to a time when the Big Five of the British Isles - elk (moose), wolf, brown bear, lynx and boar - roamed freely in the forests that veiled this land. ...."

Robert Burns “My Heart’s in the Highlands.”
"Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North,
The birth-place of Valour, the country of Worth;
Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,
The hills of the Highlands for ever I love.
My heart’s in the Highlands, my heart is not here;
My heart’s in the Highlands a-chasing the deer;
A-chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,
My heart’s in the Highlands wherever I go.
Farewell to the mountains high covered with snow;
Farewell to the straths and green valleys below;
Farewell to the forests and wild-hanging woods;
Farewell to the torrents and loud-pouring floods.
My heart’s in the Highlands, my heart is not here;
My heart’s in the Highlands a-chasing the deer;
A-chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,
My heart’s in the Highlands wherever I go." END
Regards
