You must have been extremely low to have considered any action to let go your hounds, as I read it just now I was teetering on driving to Pembrokeshire. Bet you`re glad I didnt. I dont know much about MS only what most of us learn through others but I do know it can lay you low both mentally and physically, you have a battle on your hands, you`ll need support. Anyone who knows you and the hounds will know how utterly devoted you are to them and they will be to you, the right decision was always going to be made, I had every faith. One thing though , and I know how independent you are, dont be afraid to ask for help . We never know what life is going to suddenly chuck at us and as always we have to bear it no matter what, stiff upper lip etc. I want to wish you good health and longevity with your hounds,xx Mags.

that's a lovely message Maggie, oddly I was just thinking the same thing. Greycloud? I know we're all really spread round the place but we're actually all here too, willing the best for you, let us know if we can rally round - even if it's only with a few words and to send more love.

xx

Just been catching up with posts.
I am sp glad, Greycloud that you have seen a way to allow you to keep all your hounds. It would break my heart to have to give up any of my animals...
good luck for the future x

Dear Greycloud hoping your health holds up for as long as possible & your hounds provide you with masses of pleasure. As I know only too well personal health problems are a terrible way to loose lifelong friends. xxx

So very sorry that this should happen when you are already feeling strained. There are no words that help when we lose one of our much loved companions, just enjoy the memories and remember Murray running free, he was a lucky hound to have had such devoted a friend, xMags.

Hello Greycloud
I've just now read these posts and am so sorry for your losses and worries. It all seems to hit at once doesn't it? I too have had to face real horrors this past year and I must say my beloved hounds have sustained me even though there have been losses there too. Ah well, chin up, carry on, smile on the face, the English half of me has come to the fore!
I bid you peace Greycloud and shall keep you in my prayers,
Shelley
in Vancouver, Canada
PS Can you tell us more about Wobbler syndrome?

Fell twice today and feel so bloody angry at life atm

In 2007 I lost my horse, my Jack Russell and my vile husband in the space of a few days, sometimes when I reflect I have to wonder how I got through it, and also why me? People like you and I have depth that doesnt surface until we are faced with monumental loss. Its not enough for me to say "chin up " and "so sorry for your loss" because its really just words and they have a habit of reverberating and never touching us.
But I will say this , the worst of times pass and we are stronger for our experiences. This gift we have of our hounds , the love and devotion-reciprocated, for however long or short we have them. Your hounds were very lucky that they had you . Stay well , get selfish ,look after yourself. xMaggie.

Hi Greycloud

Just popped on to catch up and see how you are. I'm sorry you've lost another hound. You really are going through it. I hope they get you on the right medication soon and things calm down, maybe the stress of losing your beloved dogs has put you back. Where abouts are you? Is there anyone on here that could help you with dog walking etc?
