I took the 4 deerhounds out this afternoon on a lead walk around the town. A elderly gentleman got out of his car and came over to say hello. It turned out that he owned and bred deerhounds in the 1960's. He and his wife were invited by Miss Noble to Arkinglas and stayed in the castle (this was before her brother died). They met her hounds and was given the honour of her letting them have their 1st deerhound puppy. He also knew Miss Bell well. He was delighted to meet the gang and was a lovely man. It has made my day chatting to him and listening to his time with deerhounds.
