Hi all
I haven't been very active recently, apologies. However just thought that I'd let you all know that I've done it now and got my third deerhound!!
We went down to Wales just before Christmas to pick her up and what a star Rowan was on her way home, back to the Trossachs. All the way back and not sick once - a happy and contented little girl. Will post pictures soon, but just wanted to share my news.
Today she has discovered how to bark and ask the others to play with her. Yesterday it was the stairs and how to rush around the house!
5 dogs now- we must be daft!!

Hi
I should have mentioned that she is a Celticmoon Deerhound from near Welshpool. Posh name is Celticmoon Shadow Magic. Well named as she is following our male lurcher Jura around like crazy .He's the one that is friendliest too her. She is a lovely well mannered puppy, softest one yet!
So that's her just 12 weeks old now and enjoying walking around the village and over the swinging bridge. Just wish that it would stop raining! But I think that everyone is in the same boat or should I say ark??

Hi Joerg and Yoki
Yes indeed one of these puppies will be her! Probably the one causing the most mischief!

Brodie
Her mother is Wickwar Wild Clover at Celticmoon and father is Wolfscastle Draig, if that helps? We had thought of calling her Clova (after Glen Clova - keeping up the tradition of lochs, rivers, islands etc in dog names) but assumed that folks would think that her name was Clover.

I know what you mean re deerhound pedigrees they are fascinating. Also the further back you go you tend to notice taht they all come from the same few kennels - which I suppose makes sense, especially after the wars... :)

Wickwar Wild Clover at Celticmoon was sired by Killoeter Grilse, AKA my Brodie. Loads of info & photos about him on my web site "Lodhainn Deerhounds" :)

Hi WendyS

I think that Rowan now has me housetrained - to follow her around with a mop!!
Not quite as bad as that!! It did stop raining for a while this morning and she went into the garden and did what she needed to, then the heavens opened and she hasn't been too keen to go out again!

Perhaps tomorrow the rain wil stop!

Hi Brodie

So as you had thought we are related (well dog wise!). So your Brodie was one of Rowan's grand fathers! Small world isn't it!

Now I'm going to have a look at your website and find out about him. Hopefully she will have some of his qualities. :)

thanks
