Has anyone been watching the TV program RSPCA rescue dogs? In the opening bit there is a deerhound sitting on a sofa with a load of other dogs, they then get off the sofa and go out of the room. In the next bit, the deerhound is on the floor. I wonder who he belongs to?

It is nice to see a deerhound featured on a TV programme - I get so excited as we seldom see them on TV.

Yes, we watch that and admire the DH every week. Programme usually leaves me in tears though :-(

Last week on 'Four in a Bed' a B & B in the Scottish Borders was featured. When it was their turn to host, the guy appeared to have a pair of DH's. Call me sad but I asked them on FB if they were DH's. They are DH crosses but lovely. They have a golden one as well who was camera shy apparently. £150.00 quid a night for glorified gypsy caravans BTW!

74 views, yet only my comment! Come on peeps - if you want to keep this site alive you are going to have to post something, about something. Don't tell me no-one has watched that RSPCA prog. and seen the deerhound on the sofa!

No sweat Brodie. Appreciate that not everyone watches tv. Looking at the posts though, people are just not posting and/or responding much at all. Not the way they used to even 12 months ago - not good for the continuation of the Board.

i agree, I said somewhere on here that the fact that others have 'forced' their views on others has meant that some no longer post stuff. I also thing that facebook n twitter etc have had an effect. Under no circumstances would i consider myself an expert so leave some areas to those who may know better (TV is one area LOL) I suppose some will just quietly look at stuff + never post.

I've not seen it, what channel and when is it on? I am off work for a while and as my hubby has said "becoming a couch potato" so will try and catch it. I do try and have the TV off during the day though.

Am I mistaken, or in the first couple of seconds of an Audi advert (with the openings words, "When it's raining cats and dogs") are there two DH looking regal/cheesed off in the rain? Not seen the RSPCA programme....

I can't watch stuff about rescue dogs, I get too angry!

My hubby keeps telling me about the Audi advert but have'nt seen it myself - anyone know who'se hounds they are?

It would be a shame to lose this group, but I must confess I tend to do the more leisurely internet browsing stuff on my phone these days, which is where facebook is so handy. You don't have to look anything up, posts appear automatically onto your inbox page as it were, along with everything else, which is where it's strength is I suppose.

I thought they were Deerhounds, you see so little of them, but they are Wolfhounds and someone has said they knew the owners so think they are UK based. Beautiful though
