We lost Santa on 17th Dec just gone.
She'd been through a battle against osteosarcoma but had recovered brilliantly after amputation of her front right leg. She was then badly attacked by a pitbull type dog only an hour after her 2nd chemotherapy treatment. But against all the odds she bounced back from that too with no psychological damage, just physical wounds that were healing. Then by sheer bad luck she developed loads of lumps along her body which though not causing her any pain turned out to be lymphoma leading to leukaemia. This second cancer being unrelated to the osteosarcoma according to our oncologist. At that point when we could see she was starting to show signs of pain we let her go.
But she was happy until the last minute of her life. I made the video below and the bit near the end when she was running around on 3 legs on the beach was just four days before she left us.

So sad to hear of Santa's passing. I think we met Santa at Discover Dogs at Earls Court. I love your video of happy times with Santa - even if it does bring a few tears to watch it. Lovely memories to keep forever. What bad luck to develop a second cancer after succseefully treating the first. Thinking of you.

Hello again. Yes we were there at Discover Dogs with Santa on the Sunday in 2013. She fought the cancer valliantly and was like a young dog again after the amputation, running around virtually at full speed. The oncologist couldn't believe it when the new cancer turned up. She made it to 8 though so we were fortunate compared to some.
