Wow Betina, how they have grown since I saw them, they're looking really juvenile now.

Two boys having big fun.
The third, my borzoi does not like the snow, it ruins his coat!

Neishy-land looks like Heaven for Deerhounds, Betina!

And isn't it fabulous the difference in the colour of their coats, and such grace when you see them caught mid-flight like that!

God, don't you just love deerhounds!

Yes I do love deerhounds I could not imagine life without one, but sometimes I could ( agggggggh) ;) you know what I mean.

I worked very hard to save and buy Mollys which is named after my first Deerhound, I sometimes think well if I had no deerhounds, I could move back to London and go to Cafe Nero for cappuchino in the morning, but I would soon get fed up with that, and I have now bought myself a gaggia machine

Yes colour of coat is always interesting, it changes so through the seasons sunlight etc has an effect.

One of the dogs, the wolfhound's name is Happy!

I do interpret the picture below as if the borzoi does not fancy the snow at all.

It seems funnier to be a deerhound, without any thoughts for his coat.

To me , too , it looks that way - on one of the many lists I am on deerhound as well as borzoi claim that they are afraid they could melt in rain or snow ( or , if mostly white , get lost in the snow ) ...- your Borzoi seems to have similar feelings .

I'm surpised that Ben wanted his walk today, usually he hates the wet and cold. Anyway I had to abandon the walk at the end of the lane as the road was like an ice rink and he just kept sliding all over the place. I worried in case he hurt himself or a car couldn't stop and hit us. Oh well there's always tomorrow.

Incidentally today is the first snow we've had here, it's only a couple of inches but very, very slippery.

This is Bryn on the way to the farm this morning, only about a mile up the road, but it took 45mins as the snow was up to the top of my legs in bits. Note Bryn is wearing his 'snow flares' he can't wait to get these off when he gets home, flooding the kitchen with melted snow :-(
