Many thanks Sue, Kevin & Christopher for a great fun day. Amy really enjoyed it, so much so that she didn't want to go home ! I just need to convince her that she should be chasing the lure not the other dog ! It was great to meet up with everyone, & Amy seeing her sibling ( Killoeter "M" litter) was the icing on the cake - even though they didn't exactly recognise each other straight away.
27th is fine for the lure coursing, assuming the ferries vare running on the 26th, if not - I will just have to arrive a wee bit late.
Thanks again

Hi Karen.

Claire and I are sorry that we weren't able to get to Sue and Kevin's last lure coursing meet. As well as Christmas, are you going to be able to make it over for 18 October?

It may have been explained that we have two of Nell's too (but younger than yours - her O and P litters) and it would have been really great for ours to have met their siblings.

They get on well with their Aunty Poppy and Murph is at least tolderated by his older cousins Mini and Ran. However he's definitely not a favourite of his wee cousin Foxy!

Our wee girl Mara, on the other hand, is simply loved by everyone - person and dog alike.

Best wishes,

Michael

Hi Michael & Claire. Unfortunately can't make it for the Oct event, but look forward to the meeting at Xmas/new year. Will you be attending that yourselves ?
Who was the sire/dam of the O & P litters ?
I couldn't believe how different Amy looked to her brother ! OK so I worked out she is a bitch & he is a dog - hence amongst other obvious things height was bound to be different ! but he was alot lighter in colouring etc All Very interesting non the less & good to compare notes.
Ditto Amy sounds like Mara, gets on great with humans & dogs. Perhaps it's a Killoeter bitch thing.
My lurcher Charlie on the other hand decided while we were at the lure coursing that no other dog could come to me & get attention - not even Amy ! He couldn't/wouldn't stop me from approaching another dog, but the other way round was a no no in his eyes !
Regards Kaz

Hi Kaz,
My apologies for taking so long to get back to you.

Both O and P litters were sired by Lomond, with Kintra the dam of the O litter (and is Murphy's mum) and Leyla being Mara's mum.

Hopefully we'll catch up with you at Christmas!

All the very best,

Michael

Hi Everyone,

I was asked at the last lure coursing meeting to post up any photos we had but it's taken me this long to find the forum!!!

Better late than never! Mostly our Beaglets and their buddies I'm afraid but a few nice ones of some of the other dogs. Feel free to use them in any way you like:

Looking forward to the next one!

You might enjoy this video from a couple of months before:

(Sorry to show off my babies)

Biggles breeder contacted us shortly after we put this on our blog. She thought it was lovely to see Beagles doing what Beagles are supposed to do. They're just glowing with happiness! And I love all the little meadow flowers they're running through too.

Hey - never have to apologise for showing off on this site!

Brings back great memories - they were an absolute hoot. Look at how waggy the tails are (particularly when he catches the lure!)

Will you be at Sue and Kevin's on 18 October? We haven't seen you guys since Paws in the Park at Rouken Glen.

Cheers,

Michael

Yes - definitely!!

We only missed the evening one because the scents are bit strong and our boy gets a little bit excited and tends to go AWOL!!! And I LOVE the idea of the christmas one. Are we all baking Xmas tree shaped doggy biscuits to bring? Who's going to be Santa?

Kevin's dad would make a great Santa. Hopefully he'll be up then. He's looking after Chez Rose at the mo since they're at the South Wales show.

Erm, yes of course we're all baking. We're all bringing selection boxes too probably. Galaxy chocolate is my favourite and I like Crunchies too.

And mince pies.

Yes, my vote for Santa goes to Brian as well. Not sure about the biscuits, though - I'm usually sick fed up with Christmas food by the 27th.

I was actually thinking of home baked biccies for the doggies!

It'd be nice to make it a bit special. If anything's needed (cash, labour etc) just let us know as we're more than willing to help make it a day to remember!

I didnt think Jack would see another lure coursing session a few weeks ago, he was really teetering on the edge - but i'm delighted to say that he has come back to life and is looking a lot better. His bloods reveal that the thyroid tablets are working and that he is no longer hypothyroid. Jake should be fine to run as long as all his injuries have healed after his encounter with the fence. Ouch. :(

Am hoping the weather is good - that would be the only reason we wouldnt make it. :)

Depleted team Fast Pants, Fala has 'Bu@@ered off and got myself a sore leg' syndrome and everyone else is working :-( I'll try and get Bella off my mum, but if we can't get the car up the hill mum won't be able to come as it will be too cold for her.

Bryn is looking good and Cara will be her usual rubbish self, so I will see you all Sunday.
