Hi Sue et al. Likewise, we are so disappointed not to be coming today. I was in at work today and even all the police cars were grounded due to the weather.

We will of course be looking forward to the rescheduled fixture as we are off work until early January.

Hello everyone,

I was hoping to pop up with my Lurcher, Ramzee after I saw Sid at Christmas. Shame it was cancelled, but hope to meet you at the next one!

Cheers,

Steve

Bryn had to content himself with a scoot round the paddock today :(

Youz are just a big bunch o' safties!!!

Claire and I managed to get up: there was only a measly 18 inches of snow on the field! And there were only the 31 lorries stuck between Auchterarder and Stirling overnight. You'd think you lot were Soft Southern Sassenachs or something, like from the West Midlands or somewhere boring and flat, instead of hardy deerhound folk...

In all seriousness, we managed to get up okay: the roads were actually pretty good on the M77, M8, M80 and the M876 and then only started to get a bit ropey between the new Clackmannanshire bridge and Kinross. We couldn't get into the drive and so just parked on the road just before the turn into Sue and Kevin's pad.

We all had a great time: Murph and Mara played really nicely with Sheila in the snow and I got to rub Sasha's tummy (the new Jack Russell) for about an hour or so after she took a major shine to me and my lap. Our two are now completely zonked and lying in front of the fireplace, just as they always are after a good run with Sue and Kev's pack.

I think it'd be great to reconvene next Sunday or Monday if the weather's better, and I hope to catch up with a few of you tomorrow at the show in Bathgate.

Dave and Pam from Oz - Sheila is an absolute credit to you - simply gorgeous, lovely dark colouring and nice and sturdy, particularly around the head and neck, but still very female looking. Her fur still has much of its sleekness, but her winter coat is coming through thick and fast and she'll be a wee fuzzball pretty soon - you won't recognise her.

glad you made it ( where are the pics?)......it would have been no good for our two little boys the snow would have gone over their wellies.....

hopefully we can reconvene soon

Sorry about that, Michael! I couldn't get off the farm with any guarantee of being able to get back in again because it was snowing heavily and piling up at the time I should have left, so I stayed home, racked up an astonishingly high score on Bejeweled Blitz and started the latest Robin Hobb book in front of the fire (I made it as far as the coal shed after some excavation), surrounded by snoozing dogs and cat and only ventured out far enough to fill up the bird feeders. Turkey sandwiches, soup and Christmas cake were also involved. Bliss, even if not what had been planned.

It's nice to look at but it does make getting about difficult.

So someone made it to Fire Hill, bet he wears nowt under his kilt and drives a butch 4X4 sort of car. But as Biscuit says "Where's ra photies"

I liked Sids plan, sounds like she had a good day. I missed the show today because it took me ages to dig the car out and when I had, all the doors were frozen shut

They stopped our bus service a few years back and since then we don't get gritter visits very often. A farmer attaches a plough he must have stolen from Cassie Jones to the front of his tractor and clears a single lane through the road.

I've been surviving on Christmas cake and Gin and must say I feel good on it. However hubby is insisting we venture to the shops for fresh fruit and veg. I hope he remembers the lemons.

Okay, okay, I hear you - here's the only photo I took, using my cameraphone.

I know it's crap, but it's supposed to be Mara, Murph and Sheila romping. Of course, as soon as the camera comes out they stop and start jogging towards you to investigate...

Sue took some with her proper camera, and will hopefully post one or two of them.

(and we don't have a butch car at all, unless a Verso counts!? I'm not sure you get butch people carriers!)

I can forgive your lack of photos, because of you honesty in the show thread :-)

Come on Sue, get the Sheila shots up.

I was right about the kilt though, wasn't I ;-)

Being a complete gentleman, I couldn't possibly comment.

All I'll say is that with all the total brass monkey weather around just now, there's hardiness and then there's just plain insanity! ;)

Good to see the videos Sue, Sheila seems to have settled in nicely with her new mates.
We MOSTLY could see which one she was.
