old Deerhound x, shropshire rescue centre was created by Craters_on_the_lawn
Poor old Kim, 10 years old, blind in one eye (due to cataract), has arrived at Shropshire Retired Greyhound Trust to find a new home, due to his owners ill health. He is very grey and hairy and deerhound-looking.

Here's his link: shropshire.retiredgreyhou...opt-a-greyhound

Oh - good luck!
Would be delighted to know my post has resulted in this poor old chap getting rehomed - if you do get him we want to hear all about him and LOTS of photos!
Fingers crossed for you tomorrow.

Oh, he looks so sad just like the one we rehomed recently. Please try contacting the Deerhound Club Rescue as I'm sure they'll know someone. Another idea is "the hound lounge", where there is a section for Other Rescues to put their dogs in urgent need of help and someone mentioned dogsblog.

Oh, I do so hope you are succesful as we adopted from GH Rescue West Of England a pure DH/GH x, not a lurcher, a Longdog.

She is 9yrs and her owner had health problems. Lived in a 2nd floor flat. Smokey's amazing with so much life in her she thinks she's a pup. Size of a medium GH and the coat of a DH. Has funny mannerisms different to GH's and she has brought us so much love and pleasure since we fostered her (failed again) in late August 2012.

Can't wait for you're update.

Hi all - well, after having a long chat with Sue from the rescue it sounds like Kim is the boy for us! I have emailed her photo's of my garden and hounds and hopefully can coleect him soon. He is used to cats, sheep and chickens and is a lovely all round hound - walks lovely on the lead, good in the car and good with other dogs - what more could I want!!
