I am very sorry to tell you all that my beloved Finn had to be put to sleep today. Many of you will remember that Finn came to my home as a rescue from the local Dog Trust.
He enjoyed meeting with his deerie friends at meetings. His first one was the last meeting at Lodge Park which was seven years ago when embarrassingly (for me) he was featured in the local newspaper as "the Noble Deerhound". My love for the deerhound began that day. He is missed by all who knew him
But less about my pain and more about Finn
For those of you who met him he was just a normal deerhound; loveable yet stubborn, funny yet sullen, hyper-active and yet lazy. Remember him at a FunDay when he came second in the long jump with a jump of over 11 feet but the following year he wouldn't even jump one foot. dh:)
He won Dog Trust shows and like all of his deerhound friends drew lots of attention where ever he went
I only wish we could have taken him to Berkeley Castle for one last meeting with all his friends

We will all miss him. Farewell my friend Run Free
