Hi B/M....yes they were all mine. they were Anmialchu Beinn Buachaille behind me who was Lodhainn Ablaize's G.G. grandsire. seen here with his trophy's won at the 2010 Deerhound Club Limit Show for been best dog + reserve best in show

then L to R-
Killoeter Grilse who is Blaize's Grand sire, seen here winning best dog at Crufts 2007 ..

then its Kilbournr Firebird of Lodhainn who is Blaize's dam..

then last but not least its Lodhainn Ablaize seen here enjoying the sun

sadly Grilse & Buachaille have left me to play in rainbow bridge with their ancestors but they have left me their legacy :)

Hi Brodie,
I am speechless, they are absolutely amazing. And now I feel stupid because I am sure among other deerhound owners you and your dogs are well known. What wonderful dogs.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures.

Jane, don't be embarrassed. We are all proud of deerhound wins wherever they may be. I can drone on and on about Finn's wins. They may only be local shows but to me they are Crufts

Jane, you should in no way feel stupid, I would not have posted the pics if I had known it would do that to you. Like Neil says we should all be proud of our hounds. Boo was our first dog that came with papers & we had the time & money to play in the rings, both big & small. No matter what the results were we were lucky to take our pets home with us & enjoy their individual antics. We have also been fortunate to be able to breed a couple of times & hopefully share the experience with others, mostly as pets. That's the best place for them as they are adored & cared for by people who just want their company. our latest pup came 4th in our local ring craft this week, just as exciting as all the other events we have attended........Again I say from the bottom of my heart....WELL DONE BLUE.....oh & well done you too Jane :) xx

Neil and Brodie, thanks for your lovely messages. I feel deerhounds are this big secret in the dog world - they are such amazing animals and yet we see so few of them around. We completely adore Blue and his independent, playful personality, he gives us so much joy every day. We are foster carers and often have a house full of children, some of who can be very challenging - Blue is so calm and gentle with them and usually walks round the house with a child draped around his neck. It's funny - some adults are terrified of Blue when we meet them out on walks, but very rarely does he scare children. Anyway, I am rambling but just wanted to say thanks for the support and the photos.
