Meet Boadie 7 years 9 months ago #21825

Hi all
I would like to introduce Boadie. I flew to Melbourne on sunday and came back yesterday with our new bundle of joy. She has settled in quite well but we have very mixed reactions from the gang. Bree prefers to ignore but doesn't seem phased. Xena who I thought would jump for joy can't stand her and Lockie, who I was concerned about is the only one happy to see her. Actually happy might be a bit strong but he tolerates to a point her sniffing and jumping and he wags his tail when sniffing her. I think he is thinking about things to come...
We had a bit of a noisy begining last night but once settled she didn't wake till 4:30 this morning for a piddle.
I had a great time in Melbourne catching up with Pam and everyone. The generosity and hospitality of these people are amazing.
Anyway here are some pics of the new baby

This is Beth the Mum who has done such a great job and has been with the pups constantly the whole time

Was that spend time or WASTE time  Thankfully I have a couple of weeks off work to spend time with her and get her used to the routine.

Perfect little girl. Such a sweet face. How old is she?

Let's hope your adult dogs warm up to her quickly - perhaps their noses are a bit out of joint at present but I would imagine they'll adopt her before long.

Of course let us know how you all make out.

What a sweet face - " who is she " , other than wee and brandnew Boadie ???
Your lot will come around , I am sure ! I my household usually the youngest has the most difficulties warming up to a newcomer , not the last time though , all loved Hermione right away .
Go and waste your time and keep the pics coming .

P.S.: And , who is her mom , looks beautiful !

Oh how sweet she is. We were worried about Ozzy when we brought him in at 5 months but he sensibly just kept very quiet and laid down a lot - accepting all the sniffs etc and my lot decided he was OK. It was like he had always been there.

I am sure you baby will be spoilt rotten by them all very soon! She is so sweet and such a lovely face.

Oh she is gorgeous! Lucky you! I'm sure that the rest of her new 'gang' will get to love her too. I know that Clunie's nose was well out of joint when we got Tulla, even though we still made a big fuss of Clunie. However all is OK apart when Tulla dares to touch Clunie when Clunes is resting/sleeping....Ah deerhounds!! :) :)

Re:Meet Boadie 7 years 9 months ago #21923

Yes she is a confident little miss which is going to get her into trouble I think
I put her on a lead and let Lockie have a close look. He was not impressed with her exhuberant greeting and told her so...anyone would think he was tearing her throat out with the noise she made. Terry came rushing inside to see if she was ok. He thought I stepped on her
Anyway baby steps...
