So sorry to read your sad news this morning. I'm sure it never gets any easier to lose a beloved dog, but she will live on through her lovely "A" litter. RIP Bird.

Thanks guys for your lovely comments. Bird was sired by my Killoeter Grilse (Brodie) out of Kilbourne Rinda. I had such fun seeing the pups develop as the breeder Glenis was so kind & let me see them when ever I wanted.



She was not widely shown as she liked her food & carried a little too much (like me). For those of you who don't know I served for 25 years as an operational fire officer and during that time I have witnessed many incidents involving children, adults, pets (even a fire in a fish tank) cattle, birds. It's funny really as when you are at work it's your job to be professional, to ensure the best possible outcome to the situation in hand, although I must admit the images live on for ever. However despite this tough exterior & experience the loss of my pets shakes me to the routes, despite the love & support from friends & especially San who is also gutted.

I think I know where your coming from Brodie they play such a big part of your life sometimes without you being aware of it at the time.
You can let your guard down and totally relax and be yourself in there company and never a true a friend
