He is Anmialchu Beinn Buachaille. Sired as far as I am aware by the last Ardkinglas stud dog “Wallace”, who won the Dava Quaich main stake in November 1997 (fittingly he was presented on Sunday with the “Ardinglas Quaich” for Best Opposite Sex. The trophy was presented by the Scottish Kenel Club to Miss Noble after a judging appointment. Bauchaille’s Dam was Chapeltower Amilia, she was sired by the first deerhound puppy I ever saw during a visit to Hay on Wye, (that’s why my litter were given the “A” names. Hence the big softy tears on Sunday, (nice when a plan comes together) a day to remember the rest of my life

Thanks , have admired lots of pics of him over the years - I do have a Chapeltower girl myself , Disa( now 6 ) ,and a " half Chapeltower " , a female by Chapeltower Balzac , bred in Denmark - there is something about the Chapeltowers /their family , that stands out/catches ones eye , could have sworn that there is some Chapeltower in this beautiful older Deerhound Gentleman ....understand your joy .How old is he now ?

Small world isn’t it, I believe I have seen Balzac once & her owner at Crufts on a couple of occasions but I can’t remember her name. I remember the “B” litter well, Balkis, Bayliss, Bewitch & if I have another bitch she will be named “Belle”. Bauchaille is 10 in February. For me JC in Hay is the reason I have Deerhounds!

Balzac lived in Denmark , I do not think , that Diana( bechmann ) took him to Crufts - she stayed for 2 weeks at Ardkinglas though , to learn from Miss Noble ...Bayliss is the father of my Disa , (Killoeter ) Dileas her mom . Only ever spoke to Jenefer over the phone and really do like her , a friend of mine brought Disa over .

He was just comming to three. I think he has an "old fashioned head" with dark eye, wonderful dark, harsh coat of correct length & is shapely yet not too large. I thought his pedigree complemented Birds & met my healty requirements. He was unproven at that time, but has been used since then.
