Well it’s back off to the vets tomorrow (Saturday) with Bird to hopefully have her remaining staples removed. :)
She is looking fine to me even though she is in full season. I have to do “stock control” to make sure the boys don’t pester her & all this with Blaize settling in as well.
I wish you all a very Happy Easter especially Mac and all the pups, big ear rubs and Love from all at Lodhainn :)

We were really glad to hear that bird got the rest of her staples out and she is well on the road to recovery it is like having a sick child and sooner or later you will stop wrapping her up in cotton wool after all you are supposed to be a rufty tufty fireman:)

Thanks for all the enquiries & messages of support regarding “Bird”, she went to the vets on Saturday where she had the remaining staples removed by her nurse. They were so pleased with her progress she was discharged. It’s the long haul back to recuperation & fitness. At present she is putting Blaize in her place  (Rufty-Tuftyxxx)

It's when they fasten the stomach to hopefully stop it twisting in the future :)

Gastroplexy secures the stomach to the wall of the abdomen hopefully to prevent the stomach twisting again - it won't stop it bloating though

Thanks Brodie, that sounds awful but obviously necessary. Is it likely to re-occur if this procedure is not done ?
