You have the most gorgeous puppies from this litter Wigster. They look to be very sound.

Alarming news about Bird. Seems as though she had a grand day out and then succumbed to illness. I have never seen bloat before and I wonder about it such as what causes it, what if anything might be done to prevent it, is it a common complaint, how good are vet's at dealing with it, is there an age where it is more common,...?

The important thing now is that she be well. Please keep us posted as we will hold her in our thoughts.

Thank you all for the messages of support by phone, text, on forum & PM's it has been a big help. I am told that I got her to the vets very early & that they were pleased with the outcome of the operation. She will be kept in for at least a day or so to enable them to keep an eye on her. I will keep her progress but i'm not very good at conversation just yet as I'm not over the shock - she was running like a gudden yesterday morning & now this!!!

Just had the "overnight" update from the vets, Bird has had a good night, eaten & relieved herself. Her wound is leaking a bit but they are pleased with her progress. I am allowed to visit her this lunchtime but she must stay again overnight. THANKS to ALL for messages of support xxxxx
