Hello,

I have received from UK an advertising print (reprint) for my collection.

Name: Deerhound
Issuer: CHURCH DWIGHTS CO. ( U.S. and Canada)
Scan:

Church & Dwight Co, Inc. is a major American manufacturer of household products that is based in Ewing, New Jersey.
The company was founded in 1846 to unify two companies created by John Dwight of Massachusetts and his brother-in-law, Austin Church of Connecticut. Their partnership had begun in 1846 with the two founders selling sodium bicarbonate (also known as baking soda) that they refined in Dwight's kitchen.

Hello,

Sorry it is not a single malted, it is a blended Scotch Whisky "Highland Chief " for the US market, but with a Deerhound on the label.

Cheers

Hello,

Here is copy of calendar (year: 1908) from the company Spratt's with a Deerhound.

The Deerhound is CH.ST.RONAN'S RHYME (Date of Birth: 23/February/1902, Breeder: MR. H. RAWSON)

Informations of Wikipedia: Link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spratt%27s
Citations;
'Spratt's was the world's first large-scale manufacturer of dog biscuits.
Its "Meat Fibrine Dog Cake" was the brainchild of American entrepreneur James Spratt who launched the biscuit in London circa 1860. The company began operations in the United States of America in the 1870s and, after Spratt's death in 1880, the company went public and became known as Spratt's Patent, Limited, and Spratt's Patent (America) Limited.
....
James Spratt (?–1880) was an electrician and lightning rod salesman from Cincinnati, Ohio who became the first to manufacture dog biscuits and other products for canines on a worldwide scale circa 1860. ...
.....
Young clerk Charles Cruft was one of Spratt's first employees and was vitally instrumental in developing the company.
....
Cruft eventually left the company (though maintaining cordial relations) and founded the Cruft's Dog Shows. '

Hello,

Here is a copy of a newspaper advert (about 1920) with a Deerhound and 3 Springer Spaniels
from Buchanan's Black & White Whisky.

Informations of Wikipedia / Link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bla..._White_(whisky)
'Black & White is a blended Scotch whisky. It was originally produced by the London-based James Buchanan & Co Ltd founded by James Buchanan. Originally known as House of Commons (after the British House of Commons), its nickname, referring to the black and white labelling, was eventually adopted as the official brand instead.
The brand's motif (featuring a black Scottish Terrier and a white West Highland White Terrier) was conceived by James Buchanan himself during the 1890s.'
...... ....
'James Buchanan was born in Brockville, Ontario, Canada, the third and youngest son of Alexander Buchanan and his wife Catherine (née McLean),[1] Scottish immigrants, but his parents returned to the United Kingdom shortly after he was born and he was brought up in Larne, where his father worked as a quarry manager.'
