I found this very amusing/interesting document on the web.
www.jamesirvinerobertson..../JRJL454647.pdf
Its a journal kept in the 1840's. Its a long document, but if you search through for the terms "deer hound" and particularly "Buscar" you can read all about his exploits. Seems he had some big problems with sheep and also game. At one point its recorded that he dirtied in the house - some things never change!

I'm sure some of you will find this very interesting, even given the brief glance I've given the document.

There's a Buscar on the Killbourne pedigree database, although there's no date of birth he did have a grand-daughter born in 1858.

Using the word search possibility in the pdf you can quickly find any reference to Buscar in the whole document.
For more exploits of the most famous, and earlier Buscar, see www.archive.org/details/a...lking02scrogoog & word search for "Buscar/Buskar".
Interesting that both Buscar's were from McNeill.

Well after a bit of looking, the search did not turn up anything, there on page 75 is the first mention of Buscar. Says Buscar chased sheep, little Hugh Sinclair, a lame sheep, and hare. Also says the dog belonged to Duncan MacNeill, the Lord Advocate.

must read on...........
