Please be aware of this it looks like a stroke but was created by Dylan
A few weeks back I heard a thump in the middle of the night, ran to find Torrum lost power to the left side. thought he had , had a stroke we were devastated. Rushed him to the vet..thankfully he had seen this once before there was no movement in the left side but when he tickled his feet there was a reaction.
He saw this once before with a Labrador and it was the first time he had heard of it..apparently a small microscopic piece of cartilage had broken off about the size of a hair , possibly from the neck and had gone into the blood and into the brain.
There is no meds they can give it is a game of waiting to see what will happen, need complete rest, phyiso 3 times a day. When strong enough hydrotherapy
What happens is the brain did not pick up were the leg s are , so his left side would move away from center line and he would start to fall but the brain did not realize to pull the legs back in. We would have to grab him and re stack them for him..
Thankfully healers worked on him and to the vets astonishment 11 days later Torrum was at the same level it had taken the lab 2 1/2 mths to get to and he did not need hydrotherapy. He is better than ever now, tearing away, happier in himself actually and also calmer with our other deerhound.
I just wanted to share to make you aware to always check and not mistake this for a stroke.

What a wonderful recovery. A very lucky DH that the vet had seen this problem before.
What sort of "healers" helped him and how? Was it some sort of manipulation?

HI Wendy , the healer is a friend . There are a number of healers out there now that do specailise in animal healing some very well known.. this healer does not specailise in animals at all but is very gifted and did it energetically with the help of Spirit , they actual live in a completely different country.
