ears was created by carolyn1957
Hi everybody, Looking for some advice please. My poor 15month old Daisy
had a sore ear. I took her to the vets and she couldn't look in it properly
without sedating her.
After waiting anxiously whilst they did this the vet then told me that there was
no foreign body in the ear but that she did have a small perforation in her ear drum.
The vet prescribed tramadol for the pain and prednisolone to relieve any swelling and I
have been advised to wash out her ear with a solution of one part white wine vinegar to
ten parts water.Has anybody heard of this ear wash ?
She is very unhappy and obviously uncomfortable. Does any body have any advise regarding
the treatment of deerhounds ear problems. This is the very first time anything has been
wrong with her and we feel so very sorry for her ......

Sorry to hear of daisy's ear problem, I'm sorry that I can't offer any advise as I've had no experience of this issue. Hope you can get some advise soon and that Daisy recovers quickly.
