TOPIC: New Cusidh on the scene?

New Cusidh on the scene? 6 years 4 hours ago #36466

Well here we are with the next Cusidh "hounds" in training.

Introducing Alfie and Apple.

They are from Three Shires Ferret Rescue www.threeshiresferretrescue.co.uk/ which is an excellent rescue.

Not sure if they'll qualify for Crufts but they're aiming for some racing events soon.

I think Rob and Lachie look smitten. I love ferrets - you can passport them to go abroad too you know, just like cats and dogs!

Ha ha, they look so much easier work on a lead than Truly and Maggie  They are very cute looking, enjoy!

Thanks - well so far so good. Hounds are very wary of them not least because Alfie and Apple do like a bit of a paw nibble! But the ferrets have settled down a bit more now and both ferrets and hounds tend to just get on with their own thing. The ferrets are good to take out and about but they have a lead technique which fortunately the Cusidhs haven't mastered yet which is a very fast reverse move out of the harness!

Maybe the hounds will get to love them if they realise that they can get those rabbits to bolt out of their holes. dh:) dh:)

One of our Greyhounds killed my hubby's ferret. We think a neighbour let her out of her cage, on purpose and she headed straight for the kennels, the Lurcher howled all night trying to tell us. RIP Funky. They do stink!!!
