I should be there with Dirk and Hazel, only Hazel is currently in season and it will be a close thing for her to get back to normal in time!! I am dragging spouse along too this time, as I will probably stop showing for a bit now as time and money running out for such things in general!

I will have just spent the saturday night in a very small caravan with a grumpy spouse and two bored hounds, so I will be the dishevelled flustered looking one!

Hello,

I have receive this e-mail message of dfsCrufts.tv .

citation:

Dear dfsCrufts.tv member,

Sorry to bother you. You are receiving this email because in previous years you created an account with www.dfsCrufts.tv to watch either the LIVE STREAM, exclusive clips, or paid-for ‘Catch Up Video’ from Crufts 2010 or Crufts 2011 (or both).

We have some important information about ways to watch Crufts 2012 that we thought you might want to know now that www.dfsCrufts.tv has closed.

This year all the LIVE coverage of the Main Arena at Crufts 2012 will be on YouTube, not dfsCrufts.tv.
You can find the Crufts Channel on YouTube by simply going to www.youtube.com/crufts .
There will be free LIVE coverage from Crufts 2012 on all 4 days of the show:
• Thurs 8th March: 0840 – 1955 (GMT)
• Fri 9th March: 0830 – 1950 (GMT)
• Sat 10th March: 0830 – 1955 (GMT)
• Sun 11th March: 0845 – 2100 (GMT)
The live coverage will include all Best in Group Judging and Best in Show.

At www.youtube.com/crufts there will also be lots of FREE Video coverage of Crufts 2012 including:
• ‘as live’ replays of all the Arena Events. These will be available within hours of the event happening in the Arena.
• video clips of some Best of Breed Judging. (sorry we can’t cover ALL the BOBs, but we’re aiming to do the most popular breeds and try to get at least 7 – 8 videos published each day)
• a daily update from the Obedience Competition. (NB: Full ‘as live’ coverage of the 2012 Crufts Obedience Competition will be available on our YouTube channel for free in the 7-10 days after this year’s show)
We hope you found this information useful and we look forward to you joining us LIVE (and free) on the Crufts Channel on YouTube www.youtube.com/crufts .

Best Wishes

The Kennel Club Online Team

PS: We will not be contacting you again in this manner. This was a one-time mail out to people who submitted their email contact details when registering with www.dfsCrufts.tv - a website run by Sunset+Vine Productions Ltd on behalf of The Kennel Club. You have received this email because you were one of those people. Our aim in sending you this email is to pass on information that relates directly to your previous membership of/registration with the website www.dfsCrufts.tv , which has now closed down.

Hi Neil,

I have found this information on the web site of crufts.

Citation:
"Judging - Breeds
The following breeds are eligible for exhibiting at Crufts 2012. If the breed you wish to show is not on this list then it is NOT eligible for exhibiting at Crufts. Please contact the Events Department for further details. The Crufts 2012 Judges are listed below each breed.

All Judging starts at 9.00am each day unless your breed has an early or late start (listed below)

Deerhound - Mrs E A Macdonald
Hall 5 Ring 26

Well, so far every time I've looked at the Crufts YouTube site is is agility or flyball. I'm sure some people must like this stuff but you would never know Crufts is the biggest 'conformation' dog show in the world.

There would be an outcry if Olympic sport coverage was mainly of stuff like kids egg & spoon races, or sack races etc.(which are not part of the Olympics but 'people like it') Or if football coverage was mostly of non-league sides on a rainy Saturday.

I have no doubt the More4 coverage will be the usual dross as well. Honestly, those of us who show are generally not that fascinated by agility, flyball, obedience or canicross (sorry Elise - no offence intended). We want to see some of the breed judging - I think :) I know *I* do.

Oh but I ADORE flyball, and agility, and love watching the obedience competitions even more. I think from a general audience point of view they have got to be more entertaining than showing! My only complaint is that they hardly ever seem to show any deerhounds on the telly, not even that year when one did really well and got into the final line up, cant remember what year that was......? Was it Seamus and Onich?

Another great day out at Crufts - all the fun of watching so many beautiful DHs and none of the stress of showing them!! It's good to meet so many knowledgeable and friendly owners. Congratulations to everyone who made it there and especially to the CC folks, Betina and Elise. Watched you on TV in the Big ring Betina - you looked as though you and Scarfe were making the most of the big moment - well done again!
