But seriously...it must be something to to do with the lack of air movement...thus allowing water particles to hang in suspension in the air.As soon as the car passes through the said fug the water droplets closest to the car are pushed away from the vehicle due to the advanced aerodynamics of modern vehicles...unless of course you drive a Vauxhall...
If you opened the windows and stopped the car...the fog would indeed come in...although the density of the fog would not be sufficent to see it at close range. Therefore you would need to walk away from the vehicle to some distance to obtain the full visual effect. If you do indeed drive a Vauxhall..this has obvious benefits...hope this helps..

I am suprised they let me drive....it took me 6 goes to pass my test, & when I did nobody believed me! (Mind you my first lesson I did get in the back seat  ) When I passed I was scared to drive alone, so I made my lurcher sit in the front with me  I thought people will think I'm mad, then thought, It's O.K if anyone sees him, they will think he's my guide dog.
I think I could be mad

Oh now now Dr. Grumpy, we all know you like to tuck into your gin and sausages when on the forum! ;)That's what leads to your pithy insights.
What I want to know is what breeds of dogs you actually own at present - you have a great number of them don't you?
I specifically wonder how that sweet little pug is doing. You posted a blurry photo of him once. Ever so cute.

But then...seeing as you said what...and not where...the answer is probably "E"...:P

It was maybe Penkridge, Staffordshire where King Edgar held his court around 950AD. In those days the Capital was where the King held Court. penkridge used to be Ben's stomping ground before we moved to Shropshire. dh:) :P

Dr grumpy also note that the small village is rich in Public houses.

Personal experience surely as the scientific explanation throws up more questions than it answers....such as why do men grow into full sized beings rather than stay at 3 foot high..and why are women crap with power tools ??:P

Personally I find that under conditions of extreme cold and snow....shoes or boots are best...;)
However...do not let this minor observation deter those of you who are brave and/or experimental enough to try socks instead...
